O Grove Catamaran Cruise
From the port of O Grove, hugging the beautiful coastline all the way to As Pipas beach
Discover the beauty of the Ría de Arousa
The voyage out to the beach is a real treat for the senses. We sail along the coast, a wonderful moment when you can take in the richness of the Ría de Arousa in all its splendour. Hundreds of perfectly aligned mussel rafts (bateas) blend with the silhouette of the seafaring villages and the little islets that line the shores of the Rías Baixas.

And more often than not, during the crossing we're also treated to the beautiful sight of dolphin families coming right up to the catamaran.
We sail with views of the island of A Toxa, Cambados and A Illa de Arousa, and the inland stretches of the O Grove coast such as Rons and the Meloxo area, home to a large fleet of mussel boats. We pass in front of the Salting Museum and the O Grove aquarium, at Punta Moreiras, until we reach our stop: the Area das Pipas beach, where we drop anchor to enjoy our delicious seafood menu and time for a swim.

On our way to the beach we pass A Lavaxeira, the perfect sheltered spot to keep the mussel boats safe.
Throughout the trip our crew tells you about each of the areas we pass and their productive, tourist and natural value.

A little further on we approach Punta Moreiras, a beautiful area with the Salgadeiras Museum, which explains the salting process and how the salted-sardine factories that operated here back in the 1800s used to work.

The views of Area das Pipas beach, as spectacular as ever. This is one of the most popular areas in O Grove; we're in the Reboredo - San Vicente do Mar area.

And just a few metres from the beach the engines stop so we can enjoy our special moment: mussels, oysters, seafood rice... and a few more surprises!
